A 19-year-old has died after he was attacked with a box cutter outside of his home during a violent domestic dispute on Monday, June 24.
Wearby Caulton Jr. was found suffering from a large cut to his neck around 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
He was rushed to the University of South Alabama Medical Center, where he later died.
Ahmed Bryant, 36, was arrested on one count of attempted murder Monday afternoon after police said they found him walking in the area. Bryant is Caulton's mother's ex-boyfriend.
Ahmed bond has been set at $100K.
Slanderchick believe the argument which led to the box cutter attack had been simmering for hours before authorities was called.
The argument appears to have started inside or near Caulton's home on the 1300 block of Brooke Avenue. He was slashed with a box cutter on the street in front of his house.
Slanderchick. spoke with a close friend to Bryant. The source stated:
"Ahmed and Wearby would fight all the time, it was getting out of hand. I knew something like this would end up happening. I don't know who side to take. Wearby, and his friends use to jump on Bryant every day. Bryant was a person, who couldn't fight. But he would try his best. But it's impossible to take on four dudes at once. I guess, Bryant just reached his breaking point. This time when they got into it. Bryant had a box cutter. Now, I'm here talking to you."
