According to authorities, on June 15, 2013, the victim contacted Mobile Police and stated, Edina Harris struck him and took his property, including his vehicle.



Authorities say, the vehicle was last seen on Bloodgood Street.

Mobile Police officers saw the vehicle minutes later in the area of Government and Broad Streets, authorities said.

Officials say officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop.

Officers became engaged in a pursuit traveling to Government Street at Dauphin Island Parkway, where the driver struck a tree, authorities said.



Authorities say the driver, 16-year-old Edna Harris III was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Harris was the only person in the vehicle, according to authorities.

Officials say, MPD is currently investigating what they are calling a robbery, vehicle pursuit and fatality
