Update: Head Physician told Slanderchick.com, 17-year-old Justin McGaster underwent surgery at USA Medical Center and is recovering.

We'll keep you updated throughout his recovery.

-----------------------------------------------09/19/2013 at 11:51PM- An eyewitness told Slanderchick.com that his friend - an innocent 17-year-old bystander and a senior at Blount Justin McGaster - was shot in the mouth after a high school football game Thursday night.

An official at USA Medical Center told AL.com that the teen is in serious condition.

Mobile police responded to shots fired Thursday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium as high school football fans were leaving Murphy's 35-34 double-overtime win over Blount.

The shooting took place on the visitor's side of the stadium.

Police on the scene said the incident is being investigated.

However, the eyewitness recounted to Slanderchick.com the events leading up to an ambulance transporting his friend to the hospital.

"We were walking from the stadium. The traffic was backed up some so we said we were going to wait for the traffic to die down. In the meantime, while that was happening, two guys, I guess, were having an argument or altercation.

"I'm walking toward the car, seconds later, that's when I heard gunshots, so I turned around. There were multiple shots, so I hit the ground immediately.

"After the gunshots had cleared, the two gunmen had fled."

He said that was when he and his friends started to panic.

"All of my friends got up but one of them didn't. When we ran over there, he was holding his mouth. He had been shot in the mouth. He was bleeding real bad. That's what made us panic."

He said by time police got to their location, his friend was "starting to lose consciousness and his eyes were rolling to the back of his head."

Melvin Dallas, who was attending the game with his sister, was in his truck when bullets hit his vehicle.

"I knew it was gunshots," Dallas said. "My first reaction was to get down and hope my truck keeps me alive."

Dallas, whose truck was struck five times, said the whole incident took 30 seconds.
